Marseille full back Taye Taiwo claims to be unaware of a reported approach from Manchester City for his services. The Nigeria international admits a move to England would appeal to him.

"I know there are contacts but I am not aware that a bid has been put in," Taiwo told skysports.com.

"I am sure that one day I will play in the Premier League. Will that happen in January? You would have to talk with Mr Pape Diouf (Marseille president).

"I have a contract with Marseille and, while Man City are a very good club, they have just bought a quality left-back. We will just have to wait and see what happens."
