Marseille boss Villas-Boas: Man City B team could win Champions League

Olympique Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas says Manchester City's 'B' team is good enough to win the Champions League.

City manager Pep Guardiola is expected to make changes to his starting XI with his team already assured of top spot in Group C, but Villas-Boas is still wary of the threat posed by the Premier League side.

Marseille are bottom but still have the chance to overtake third-placed Olympiakos' and secure a place in the Europa League.

"Qualifying is not in our hands," said the former Spurs and Chelsea boss.

"Hopefully Porto will do us a favour but we know it is going to be hard against Manchester City. They have so many options, and so many top-level options as well.

"We cannot rely on Porto but we must be at our best to get a positive result because City's 'B' team are strong enough to win the Champions League, I think."
