Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has heaped praise on Andrea Pirlo ahead of their victory over AC Milan.

Pirlo went into the game on the back of the release of his controversial autobiography.

"Pirlo personifies the profile of a great player, both in terms of quality and his professionalism. More than fortune, it was a favourable coincidence and we made the most of it," he said of the free transfer from Milan.

"We know that sides like Juventus are obligated to win always. We have to get the most from every game until we have mathematically won the Scudetto."
