Udinese coach Pasquale Marino rapped his players despite their 2-0 win yesterday.
The Friulani needed two last-gasp goals from Antonio Floro Flores to get the better of nine-man Reggina, as both Maurizio Domizzi and Franco Brienza missed penalties.
"We were sluggish and it looked as if we were the ones who had nine men on the field," slammed the Coach.
"I am disappointed by the performance, but happy with the result. I really did not expect such an approach, everyone has to give their best in each game."
Marino rested several top stars for the second leg of their UEFA Cup tie with Werder Bremen, which will be played on Wednesday.
"It is only normal that the players are focused on Werder, but we need to get the necessary experience to handle many different competitions.
"We made so many sacrifices to play in Europe, but we cannot leave our Serie A duties on the back burner.
"We must face Werder the same way we did the second half in Bremen, as when we pass the ball around quickly then we become tough customers for any opponent."
