Marin thrilled after scoring on Chelsea debut

Marko Marin admitted it was a very good feeling to net his first Chelsea goal on Wednesday.

The summer signing from Werder Bremen scored in the Blues' 4-2 pre-season win over MLS side Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field, whilst also providing an assist for Romelu Lukaku, and was delighted to contribute so early in his Stamford Bridge career.

"Of course it was a nice feeling to score in the first game and to have an assist too, and I am happy with my performance," he told the club's official website.

"I felt good today and I think it was okay for my first match. And playing here was not like in Europe. It was another atmosphere when we came out with the firework explosions, and it was a really nice feeling to play in this stadium."
