Branislav Ivanovic's future at Chelsea is under a cloud with news that Antonio Conte is set to reshuffle his defence.

The deadline day signing of Marcos Alonso could see Conte move Cesar Azpilicueta from left-back to this more natural right-back position, leaving Ivanovic on the outer, according to The Sun.

Alonso has been signed from Fiorentina to play at left-back and with Spaniard Azpilicueta primarily a right-sided player, it is understood that there are changes set for the Blues backline.

Ivanovic, 32, is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is likely to receive less and less game time this season, especially with the return of David Luiz who will take a central defensive position which has occasionally been covered by the Serbia international.
