Real Madrid wing-back Marcelo hailed the goal scoring exploits of Cristiano Ronaldo after victory over Villarreal.
Ronaldo struck twice to take his tally to 38 for the season, level with Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra in 1950/51 and Madrid's own Hugo Sanchez in 1989/90.
Marcelo aid: "We are all very happy for Ronaldo because he's equalled Hugo Sanchez and Zarra's record of 38 goals in La Liga, but we're even happier for the whole team. We are capable of achieving great things by working together."
Reflecting on their victory, the Brazilian wing-back stated: "It is always difficult to win at this stadium. We knew the game was going to be complicated, but we tried to give our all. We want to have a good end to the season. Today, we played well against a great opponent."
