Argentina coach Diego Maradona admits he gave Carlos Tevez a kick up the backside when he was struggling for action at Manchester City last season.
Maradona says his chat with Tevez inspired the City striker's form in the second-half of last season, which has carried on at the World Cup.
"Tevez has recharged his batteries," said Maradona.
"I went to Manchester to talk to him when he was an understudy in selection. I told him he had to be playing and now he is doing that."
