Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has told his players they're playing for their futures.
The Sunday Mirror says the champions are preparing a mass summer clear-out of players like Carlos Tevez, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko, Joleon Lescott, Aleksandar Kolarov, Scott Sinclair and Maicon.
Other members of Mancini's squad are also coming under scrutiny.
Now, with 11 Premier League games left for City to somehow overhaul runaway leaders Manchester United and a FA Cup quarter-final clash with Barnsley this week, Mancini has left his players in no doubt that big decisions are imminent.
"The games we have from now until the end of the season are very important," said the City boss, who himself knows that his own future will be decided in the weeks ahead.
"At this moment we don't know what players we can buy at the end of the season and which players can leave.
"Some players will want to leave because they don't play and they will want more chances to play.
"Maybe that will happen. These are decisions for the next 11 games, yes."
