Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has admitted to trying to sign Micah Richards in the winter.
The 26-year old defender joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan from Manchester City in the summer but Mancini attempted to bring him to the San Siro during the most recent transfer window.
"I tried to bring Micah Richards here in January," he told Gazzetta TV. "He was one of my players when I was at Manchester City, too.
"Fiorentina seemed open to the idea but it didn't come off."
