Manchester United have secured promising goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The 20-year old gloveman has penned an extension which will see him remain at Old Trafford until the summer of 2017.

The England U20 international came through the Red Devils' youth academy before joining the senior ranks in 2011. Since then he has had loan spells with Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall and Yeovil Town.
