Manchester United winger Ashley Young was delighted with the manner of their win over Aston Villa.

Young has played a key role in United's revival since the New Year.

"It's nice to be winning but it's about that momentum, especially when you are going into this vital stage of the season," Young told reporters after Saturday's 3-1 win over his old team. "United teams always come strong at this stage and we are showing in every game just how strong we can be.

"It's nice to go out and win games, and control games too. You saw against Villa that we controlled it from the first whistle right until the end, not just in terms of possession but also getting in the box and having shots at goal. We have got to continue what we have shown and hopefully come the end of the season we will be as high as we can be."
