Manchester United have joined the battle for Porto fullback Danilo. The Brazilian has pulled out of new contract talks with Porto as he spies a big club move away.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are both in contact with Porto and Danilo for the fullback.

But the Daily Express says United are ready to meet Danilo's £37m release clause in an effort to beat all rivals.

Louis Van Gaal has lost faith in Rafael and Antonio Valencia, and feels that Danilo would complement left-back Luke Shaw as he looks to ditch his 3-5-2 formation and return to a four-man defence.
