Wolves manager Kenny Jackett does not believe Manchester United will allow James Wilson to leave on loan.
A number of Championship clubs including Wolves, Derby County, Hull City and QPR have all been showing interest in the 19-year-old striker recently.
It was suggested that Wilson was set to spend the season away from United but Jackett suggests Louis van Gaal wants to keep him around even after the arrival of young gun Anthony Martial.
"The information is he's not available. They're keeping him there for the time being," he Wilson.
"There's been a number of clubs who have enquired about him and at one stage they'd been saying perhaps he could go.
"The timing of it is always something and if he was available would there be some interest from us? There has been in the past, yes."
