Man Utd will keep splashing the cash despite £250m LVG splurge

Ed Woodward suggests Manchester United will continue to spend while Louis van Gaal remains in charge.

The executive vice-chairman has told a Fans Forum that the Red Devils will splash the cash again even after outlaying around £250million on players since the Dutchman took the reins in the summer of 2014.

The likes of Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial have all arrived at the club over the past few transfer windows and that trend will only continue according to Woodward, who said United would 'continue to look to strengthen the squad and to reward young talent'.

Woodward also revealed that United's revenue was set to fly past the £500m mark this year, putting them in an even stronger position to continue spending in order to return to the summit of English football.
