Manchester United are willing to send Nemanja Matic to Tottenham next month - as part of negotiations for Christian Eriksen.

That's according to The Athletic, which reports United considering offering him in part exchange for Eriksen.

Matic is believed to be keen on a move after dropping down the pecking order at United.

If he were to move to Tottenham as part of any Eriksen deal, the 31-year-old would be reunited with former boss Jose Mourinho, who he played under at both United and Chelsea

Matic is out of contract in the summer, so could leave Old Trafford for nothing at the end of the season, having lost his place in the United team to Scott McTominay.

Like the Serb, Eriksen is also off contract in June and is rated at £90m by Spurs ahead of next month's transfer window.
