Manchester United are keen on Porto star Joao Moutinho.
Porto are prepared to sell Moutinho this summer as they attempt to balance the books.
The Sunday Mirror says incoming Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has recommended Spurs sign Porto's £25m-rated Moutinho, who starred for Portugal at Euro 2012, as a direct replacement for Luka Modric.
He faces a fight with Manchester United for the midfielder.
