Manchester United are eyeing Valencia winger Joaquin.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been a long-term admirer of the Spanish international and was hoping to bring him to Old Trafford last year when Antonio Valencia got injured.
Joaquin, 29, has been outstanding for Valencia in La Liga this season and has also been targeted by Chelsea and AC Milan.
Valencia would not consider selling their star winger for less than £9m, but reports in Spain suggest that United are prepared to meet the valuation and hope to finalise a deal for the experienced winger in the January transfer window.
