Manchester United are being warned off AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.
Dutch football has been rocked by claims from Mario Brozzi, a former doctor with Roma, of Strootman's long-term career. The midfielder is currently recovering from a fresh knee injury.
"My impression is that the operation of Strootman has not been successful," Brozzi informed Gold TV. "I do not know exactly what happened to his knee, but the problems with his cartilage stem from a problem with the positioning of the ligament."
"Now this is the situation, I see no way back for him," Brozzi continues. "It is not for me to say whether a new operation is necessary."
The former surgeon found it strange that Strootman had help in Amsterdam.
"If everyone just goes abroad, it seems as if no one returns better."
