Paul Scholes could play on next season at Manchester United.

The veteran is off contract in June.

The Manchester Evening News says Scholes is back in training and ready to add his quality to the climax of the season. His injury has cut into his appearance stats but the upside is that he'll still have something in the tank for the finale and that could sway a decision to give it another 12 months rather than end in an unfulfilled manner.
