Man Utd to trial singing section again

Manchester United intend to trial their singing section again for the home game with Fulham.

The Manchester Evening News says Old Trafford could be home to a permanent singing section at Manchester United games after the trial impressed the squad.

1400 United fans formed in L Stand during the Champions League tie against Real Sociedad to create noise in the stadium to bounce off the Stretford End and made their way through a full cycle of Reds songs.

The trial has impressed the players and managers, so much so that the club are planning to repeat it on February 9 for the match against Fulham in February.

United intend to put 2,600 seats aside - 1,200 more than the first trial - in what's commonly known as J Stand, plus a block of the adjacent K Stand at the east end of the ground.

It's also understood that the club will offer any displaced fans a voucher for food and drink as compensation.
