Manchester United are keeping tabs on Max Clayton's progress at Crewe Alexandra.
Having swooped for Clayton's former teammate Nick Powell in the summer, United have registered their interest with Crewe chief Dario Gradi in the young forward.
Clayton has scored five goals this season and is also being followed by Arsenal and Liverpool.
