Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost with news that Nicolas Otamendi is eager to depart Valencia.
Recent reports suggested that United had a £36million offer for the Argentine centre-back accepted by the Spanish club and now it appears as though the 27-year old is determined to push that move through.
Speaking to Radio Valencia Cadena Ser, his agent Eugenio Lopez said: "Nico wants to leave Valencia and is going to do everything possible to achieve it.
"Nicolas told [executive president] Amadeo Salvo to his face two months ago, it surprises me that it is said that [sporting director] Rufete knew nothing. Or he lied or there is a lack of communication.
"In these cases the will of the player is very important."
