Man Utd target De Vrij on scoresheet as Hiddink's Holland down Spain

Manchester United target Stefan De Vrij was on target as Netherlands beat Spain 2-0 in an international friendly on Tuesday.

Guus Hiddink's Dutch outfit started the game very brightly and didn't have to wait too long for the opening goal in Amsterdam.

Lazio defender De Vrij headed home Wesley Sneijder's cross from the left after 13 minutes giving Spain goalkeeper David De Gea no chance.

Three minutes later, 22-year-old Ajax midfielder Day Klaassen doubled their lead as he fired Jetro Willems' cross into the top corner from six yards out.

Spain were lackluster in the first half and even though they came back stronger after the break with the introduction of Manchester City's David Silva, they could not break down the Dutch defence and left the Dutch capital goalless.
