Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has denied reports he needs knee surgery. It was thought Van Persie's need for surgery jolted United into signing Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan.
Van Persie said: "I am impressed that people have the imagination to make something like that up.
"I do not know where it comes from and can say with my hand on my heart that I'm not in a hospital the next time to operate."
