Man Utd striker Van Persie frustrated over Holland ban

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is frustrated being suspended for Holland's final World Cup group game against Chile.

The blow has been softened by the fact that Louis van Gaal's charges are already safely through to the knockout stages.

When asked about his leveller against the Socceroos, he told FIFA.com: "That was the goal that got us back into the game. It was important. I knew we had to get one and, preferably, as quickly as possible. As soon as I scored, I had a good feeling again that we could win it. Especially from my point of view, I wanted it extra badly because I knew I wouldn't be in the team for the next match. I'm annoyed about that."
