Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney was in reflective mood yesterday at St George's Park.

Rooney admitted he might have done things differently over the summer.

The trip to Las Vegas he made shortly before the Euros was not well received and Rooney accepted that criticism.

"I can understand and see where you are coming from," he said.

"I wasn't in Vegas going out every night, drinking and partying. Obviously I went out one night and that was seen. But I couldn't train anyway. That is why I had the extra time off.

"I had to have something done to my toe and it was just a way to relax before I came into training. There was no treatment for me to get at the time but, looking back, I can understand why maybe yourselves and the fans weren't happy."
