Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney was delighted with his brace as England captain last night.
Roo's double, one a penalty, took him to 31 goals in 80 games for his country - putting him fifth in the all-time England list behind Bobby Charlton, Gary Lineker, Jimmy Greaves and Michael Owen.
He said: "It's a great honour to be in the top five and I am extremely proud. I am only 26 so have a long way to go and hope to score many more."
Boss Roy Hodgson said: "It is a great achievement and he still has years of football left in him."
