Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is grateful to England coach Roy Hodgson for including him in England's Euros squad.
Rooney thanks Hodgson in an interview with the BBC for selecting him when he is ruled out of the games against France and Sweden.
"When there's a change of manager, regardless of who it is, you think he might bring in fresh players and want to change it," said Rooney. "It was great for me that he said he would take me. Hopefully, I can repay him.
"He seems a nice person. His teams have always been well organised and since I've been in the England squad we've lacked that organisation.
"It's great to have an Englishman in charge and more English staff as well."
