League Two Oxford have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United defender Sean McGinty on loan until January. The 18-year-old defender, a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, is yet to appear for United's first team but gained League Two experience last season during a month-long loan spell with Morecambe.
Oxford boss Chris Wilder told the club's official website: "Sean is a player I have watched on more than one occasion and he is a good player who has always impressed me.
"He is very highly rated and will come into the group and give us another strong option.
"It's another example of the excellent relationship we have with Manchester United and we look forward to working with him."
