Jadon Sancho has revealed Christian Pulisic played an important role in him joining Borussia Dortmund.

The American shot onto the scene with Dortmund before joining Chelsea in 2019.

And Sancho revealed that Pulisic's rise at Dortmund inspired him to leave Manchester City for the Bundesliga back in 2017.

"Dortmund just really caught my eye," Sancho told MUTV.

"Listening to what they had to offer me and also who they had there.

"They had Christian Pulisic and he was, at the time, probably 19. Seeing him do well, I kind of looked at him thinking 'that could be me'.

"Luckily enough, they gave me that opportunity and I was doing well."
