Man Utd snubbed Lyon striker Dembele twice because of Rashford

Manchester United twice passed up the chance to sign Moussa Dembele, according to reports.

Dembele was with Fulham when United first passed up the opportunity, with the French striker moving to Celtic. He then left the Bhoys for Lyon in a £20m deal in 2018.

The Red Devils felt they didn't need Dembele because of the emergence of Marcus Rashford, according to The Sun.

The Old Trafford club are now set to fork out £60m for the 23-year-old.

Lyon are open to selling their star man after failing to qualify for the Champions League, with Chelsea also interested.
