A decision from Manchester United over the future of Mason Greenwood could be made this week.

The forward is waiting on the result of a internal club review after assault charges were dropped earlier this year.

Greenwood has let it be known he wishes to remain with United and has been in regular contact with manager Erik ten Hag and teammates.

The Sun says United chiefs have assured a final decision will be made before the start of the season. The Premier League kicks off next week, with the Community Shied held this weekend between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Ten Hag said on the weekend: :"It's a club decision and, of course, I've shared my opinions but it's a club decision and we all have to accept that.

"I can't say so much about it but I shared my opinion about it, so let's see what's going to happen."
