Man Utd serious about Bournemouth pair Brooks and King

Manchester United ARE keeping a close watch on Bournemouth pair David Brooks and Josh King.

The Manchester Evening News says the two are among a number of players on United's shortlist if they cannot land their preferred targets in the right-wing and striking positions.

Brooks - who can play out wide or in central attacking positions - is considered as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

United tried to sign King on deadline day in January but baulked at Bournemouth's asking price, believed to be in excess of £30million.

The forward has since said he "had some faith that it was going to happen" and described the would-be United return as a "dream come true".

King came through the ranks at Old Trafford as a youngster before leaving for Blackburn and then Bournemouth and has been a big hit with the Cherries.
