Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has sent scouts to cast an eye over Reece Oxford at the Under 19 European Championships.
Reports suggest that United will watch the West Ham United youngster in action during the UEFA tournament in Germany which sees the Young Lions kick off against France on Tuesday.
Mourinho sees 17-year-old Oxford as a serious player of the future and could make a £10million offer later in the summer transfer window if he performs well for Aidy Boothroyd's team.
It is understood that West Ham have no intention of selling the versatile young gun, who can operate as a central midfielder or in central defence, but United may test their resolve provided he impresses Red Devils scouts at the Euros.
