Manchester United winger Nani helped Portugal book their place in the European play-offs for the World Cup.
A 4-0 win over Malta allowed Portugal to keep their South Africa 2010 hopes alive and it was Nani who got them off to a good start.
The Red Devils man netted in the 13th minute with a quick left-foot shot from just outside the 18-yard box before Simao, former Bolton target Miguel Veloso and Arnaldo Edinho added to Portugal's night of glory.
Then win allowed Portugal to finish second in Group One, ahead of Sweden.
