Phil Jones could be back in action for Manchester United this weekend.

The central defender has been sidelined since April 12 with an ankle injury but came through an U21s game unscathed on Monday night which has him in with a chance of making Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.

"I'm happy to play in the Under-21s and get some fitness. I feel I'm ready to go again and hopefully I can make the squad on Saturday," Jones told MUTV.

Jones, 23, has been restricted to just 19 Premier League appearances this season due to a raft of various injuries including hamstring, calf and ankle problems.
