Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra said he was delighted for Wayne Rooney after the striker produced probably his best performance in about 10 months in the 2-1 away win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Rooney did a bit of everything to help the Red Devils take maximum points, scoring the opener before providing Javier Hernandez with the winner, and the showing was not lost on French teammate Evra.
"I am very glad for Wayne," said Evra. "He deserved to score because has been working so hard in training.
"He showed what character he has at the end when he came back on to the pitch.
"That was good for Manchester United and now I hope Wazza can score more goals."
