Manchester United are believed to be showing considerable interest in Miralem Pjanic.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Red Devils have reignited their curiosity in the AS Roma midfielder as Louis van Gaal gets set to go after a new playmaker in the summer.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Bosnia-Herzegovina international Pjanic in recent months as it is believed he as seen as the perfect replacement for departing captain Steven Gerrard but they are now expected to receive tough competition from their arch rivals.

Pjanic, who has been in the Italian capital since 2011, is under contract with the Giallorossi until the summer of 2018.
