Man Utd remain favourites for Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski

Manchester United remain favourites for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Daily Mail says talk has intensified regarding a possible switch for Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United, with high-placed sources in both countries - and even the striker's homeland of Poland - claiming a deal has been agreed.

The 24-year-old cost the German champions a measly £3.5million from Lech Poznan and has been worth his weight in goals, scoring nine times in 14 this season and 22 in 34 during the last league campaign.

However, there is still debate over where he will fit in the Manchester United set-up, given the wealth of options already at Sir Alex Ferguson's disposal.
