Manchester United have cut short the loan of Cameron Bothwick-Jackson at Tranmere Rovers.
The young left-back is coming back from the League One team in the coming days.
The 22-year-old is unlikely to get much senior first team action with United.
It is likely he will go back out on loan, while a permanent departure would not be a huge surprise either.
He only played five games for Tranmere this season.
A statement from Tranmere on Thursday read: "Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has today been recalled from his loan by Manchester United.
"We thank Cameron for all of his effort in his time at the Club and wish him luck for the future."
