Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is still throwing his weight around inside the locker room, it has been revealed.

Umtiti was confronted by Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets late last week over his attitude towards teammates and staff. Many inside the locker room have sensed a change in Umtiti since his minders began fielding contact from Manchester United and Real Madrid about a summer switch.

Pique and Busquets pulled the Frenchman aside to tell him some home truths, but Diario Gol says it has had little effect.

Instead, it's suggested Umtiti has been pumping teammates for information on Pique's salary. The defender believes he deserves parity with his senior teammate as tense negotiations with Barca over a new deal drag on.

Word that Umtiti believes he deserves equal pay is sure to leave Pique unimpressed after last week's sit down.
