Manchester United are chasing Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez.
The Daily Express says Perez was tipped to join the Red Devils during the summer following a successful season under Jorge Jesus, but the 28-year-old instead opted to sign a new four-year deal.
However, Louis Van Gaal has been keeping tabs on the versatile midfielder after discovering that Valencia plan to launch a bid in the upcoming transfer window, and it has now transpired that Perez inserted a release clause into his contract worth £23.5million.
