Manchester United's shortlist for a new left-back appears to be getting longer.

The Red Devils are keen to bring in a defender as cover due to an injury crisis at the club.

With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both injured, the club are talking with Chelsea about a loan deal for Marc Cucurella.

However, COPE in Spain states that Valencia defender Jose Gaya is also an option for United.

The 28-year-old may be available for a more modest fee, especially if the deal is a loan.

The issue for United is that only days remain before the transfer window slams shut.
