Manchester United are being linked with a shock double raid for Bayern Munich pair Robert Lewandowski and Bastian Schweinsteiger. The Daily Star Sunday says the two are firm favourites among fans but Atletico Madrid have already made enquiries for the pair, with boss Pep Guardiola considering whether they are key to his plans.
United have a long-held interest in Lewandowski, 26 and ex-Reds boss David Moyes expressed interest in signing powerful Schweinsteiger, 30.
The Germany midfielder is understood to not have the best relationship with United chief Louis van Gaal from their time together at Bayern but would be available for around £10million.
