Some Manchester United players resented the relationship sacked manager David Moyes had with Wayne Rooney.
The Daily Mail says one of the few bits of work for which Moyes won acclaim was bringing Rooney back into the fold to the extent he signed a fabulous new contract after he had been effectively ostracised by Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, it's a sign of how dysfunctional Old Trafford has become that some United players are said to have been irked by Rooney becoming such a Moyes favourite.
