Manchester United are ready to hand Danny Welbeck new terms.
The Sun says Welbeck is set to be offered a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
The England striker grew disillusioned under former boss David Moyes, with Tottenham and Everton both reportedly weighing up moves.
But he is now expected to pen a new deal when Van Gaal's appointment is confirmed.
