Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan insists Nemanja Vidic didn't deserve to be sent-off in defeat at Liverpool.
It was the third time against Liverpool that Vidic has seen red.
"We seem to get players sent off at Anfield against Liverpool. I feel sorry for 'Vida' (Nemanja Vidic) simply because, yes, it might have been a yellow card, the second one, but he didn't deserve the first one so I thought the referee possibly got that one wrong," said Phelan.
"He needs maybe to look at it and then there's obviously a little bit of controversy on the other side of the coin with Jamie Carragher so they are all decision, they are all talking points, we've just got to get on with the game."
