Manchester United are ready to open new contract talks with Javier Hernandez before the New Year.
United chiefs want to sit down with Chicharito about a new deal as Tottenham and Arsenal circle ahead of the January market.
The Daily Star says Hernandez, who has a proven scoring touch, has had limited opportunities to start and sees himself as more than just an impact player.
He has been linked with a move away to get regular football with Arsenal and Tottenham both keen.
The United ace would get plenty more game-time there, where competition for a striking berth is not so intense.
