Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is a surprise target for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

The La Liga club are looking at replacing shot stopper Jan Oblak in the summer.

The Slovenian is out of contract at the end of the season, while he has not indicated that he is prepared to renew.

According to The Mirror, if Oblak is either sold by Atleti in January or moves on a free in the summer, they would pursue Martinez as his replacement.
